With many older homes you aren't going to be able to find out who built it, but with newer homes it's more likely you will find an answer. There are many builders up in Northern Wisconsin, some have really good reputations and some have pretty poor reputations. Reputations are usually based on quality of work and accountability. There is a vast difference between a house built to code and a house built with attention to detail and figuring out the reputation of the builder can help you determine what kind of house you are looking at.
